After celebrating the Centenary Year of The Association of Engineers, India (AEI) during 2018-19, volume 89 No.1-2 (January-June) 2019 issue of The Journal of the Association of Engineers, India is getting published. We really feel proud to be a part of this Association who has a rich history in the past. Earlier this year, we have lost our respected teacher, Prof. Rajat Kumar Chakrabarti, on January 03 2019. He was the Immediate Past President of The Association of Engineers, India. An Obituary in memory of him was included in the last issue of this journal. National Conference on Trends and Advances in Mechanical Engineering (TAME 2019) was organised during February 15-16 2019 at Kalyani Government Engineering College, Kalyani, West Bengal. Luminaries in the field of Mechanical Engineering were present in the conference. A report of this mega event organized by The Associaton of Engineers, India jointly with Kalyani Government Engineering College and Global Institute of Management and Technology, Krishnagar is included in this issue. The Concluding Session of the glorious Centenary Celebration was arranged on April 20, 2019 at the Training Centre of The AEI, and a report of it is also placed inside this issue.
